The high school baseball season is coming to an end, with state playoffs beginning in just a few weeks.  How did your season go?  Did you get the number of games you were hoping for?  Have you started to build a schedule for summer baseball games?  Are you interested in doing IESA baseball or other fall ball tournaments?

My name is Ryan Verver and I am the president of IOA (Illinois Officials Association), one of the largest associations in the state with 400+ umpires contracting to over 65 IHSA schools and some of the largest tournaments and travel programs in the state.  I would like to personally invite you to explore the opportunity of joining our association.

We serve much of the Chicago metropolitan area, ranging as far north as Oswego, south to The Kankakee River Valley, and West to Seneca.  Our reach extends eight high school conferences, the prestigious WJOL and Banjenski high school tournaments, three major tournament venues with tournaments every weekend, and several summertime leagues and programs.  Our association has prepared many members to work extensive IHSA State Finals, advance to the collegiate level, and attend umpire school and advance into minor league baseball.

  • For over 20 years, the IOA has built a reputation as a top umpire association in the state.  Current umpire enjoy:
  • Quality games, opportunities to advance and flexible assigning practices.
  • Mentoring program which pairs veteran officials with new officials.
  • Training program which includes new umpire training, IHSA meetings, and the top clinic in the state.
  • Many opportunities to network at our meetings and social engagements.
  • Assistance on uniform and equipment purchases and association discounts at many vendors.

Join the IOA and help make baseball a great experience for all of our clients.  Both new and experience umpires enjoy success as a part of the IOA!

If you are interested in joining our ranks, please contact our assignor – Jordan Cohen.
